"Abinci Rai" (Bread of Life) is a reverent Hausa Communion hymn composed by Emmanuel Patrick Iwe. The song serves as a direct invitation to the Lord's table, calling the faithful to receive the Body and Blood of Jesus Christ ("Jikin da jinin Yesu Kristo") in order to gain everlasting life. The melody carries a gentle, steady pace that perfectly matches the solemnity of the Eucharistic feast.

Written for a four-part choir with a prominent soprano solo, the piece weaves together congregational calls to approach the altar with deep, scriptural reflections. The final section beautifully sets the words of John 6, reminding communicants that whoever eats His flesh and drinks His blood remains in Him ("a cikina yake zauna").
