About A rose to a Rose
Perfect for a celebratory occasion, A rose to a Rose is a charming SATB setting of a charming English text. The composer has crafted a delightful and flowing response to the poetic request for words of praise for a loved one on their birthday. The speaker asks their heart for a suitable tribute, and the heart replies by comparing the beloved to a rose, sending a rose as a symbol of love. This secular American part-song offers a light and affectionate sentiment, ideal for adding a touch of grace and affection to any concert program.
